Erin Andrews, Covering something other than sports??

This week Erin Andrews, famed ESPN sports reporter has announced that she will set aside her sports knowledge and will start studying up on fashion, movies and celebrities as she will be covering the 83rd annual Academy Awards.
According to USA Today in a recent post, Andrews will be covering the event with former ESPN anchor, Robin Roberts.
Andrews has had some experience with the arts by competing on the latest season on Dancing With the Stars, she finished in third place. I guess she isnt completely ready to hand in the sneakers for dancing shoes.
Andrews played with the idea of permanently covering entertainment as her ESPN contract is soon to expire. But instead she has chosen to have her cake and eat it too as we will see her cover both topics.
“What am I doing here. I’m out of my element. I’m breaking Oscar.” joked Andrews as she comments on her transition from field to heels.

So what?

Well this is my first post so I figured I would just start off by saying a little something about what I want in life, I feel like that is the way you really get to know someone, by discovering who they want to be. I am going to school in hopes to land a job where I can go to sporting events for free. Sounds shallow I know however; nothing beats the feeling you get at a football game when your team is down by 2, the clock is on its last couple of ticks and the coach makes the daring call to go for it and try for 3 points to win the game instead of settling for a tie. Standing on the sideline and hearing the players shout out calls of inspiration and energy to fellow teammates while the roar of the crowd makes it hard to even concentrate is feeling that I need to have again and again. My life would be seemingly perfect if I could call myself an ESPN journalist, or pretty much any profession where I can talk and write about sports. I want to break the barriers of the male dominated industry and take the reins for myself. I hope to be the Lady on the Field.
