So what?
Well this is my first post so I figured I would just start off by saying a little something about what I want in life, I feel like that is the way you really get to know someone, by discovering who they want to be. I am going to school in hopes to land a job where I can go to sporting events for free. Sounds shallow I know however; nothing beats the feeling you get at a football game when your team is down by 2, the clock is on its last couple of ticks and the coach makes the daring call to go for it and try for 3 points to win the game instead of settling for a tie. Standing on the sideline and hearing the players shout out calls of inspiration and energy to fellow teammates while the roar of the crowd makes it hard to even concentrate is feeling that I need to have again and again. My life would be seemingly perfect if I could call myself an ESPN journalist, or pretty much any profession where I can talk and write about sports. I want to break the barriers of the male dominated industry and take the reins for myself. I hope to be the Lady on the Field.

Hannah: Please re-read the instructions for this assignment. You've missed the boat entirely. What you've written is stream-of-consciousness meanderings and not anything resembling a beat blog. Narrow your focus: What exactly is your beat? You need to determine that. I'm fine with you interjecting opinion in your posts, but this assignment also requires you to check what others are writing about your beat, to link to those sources in the news media (at least two per week), and then to react or comment on them. Also, you've written this as one long entry. Please use paragraph breaks and punctuation correctly. You can do a lot better than this. Score = 6.5
