Worlds first women's Olympic boxing trials looks to be one for the history books.

Airway Heights Washington was the location of the world's first Olympic trial for woman's boxing. For Marlen Esparza, Queen Underwood and Claressa Sheilds their journey now takes them to China for the world championships where they must finish in the top eight seed in their weight class to qualify for the real Olympics this summer in London.
Claressa Sheilds was the real headline, the 16 year old from Flint Michigan. Shields who had only been competing in Boxing highest levels for the past year, because she wasn't of age, validated everyone's expectations of her by beating Tika Hemingway.

  1. Hannah: This is too short and there are no links, as required. You need to develop this blog more, as this doesn't represent a serious effort. Score = 6
